Start where you are.

The sometimes and all too often daunting task of losing weight, getting healthier and becoming your best self

The key to longterm success is start where you are. Ask yourself, What can I do today to be healthier? Perhaps for some, this might mean cutting out a sweet drink from Starbucks. For others, it may mean, taking a 20 minute walk or drinking 8 glasses of water. When wanting to lose weight and get healthier, it is easy to get frustrated and overwhelmed. The process must be taken one day at a time. Have the end goal in mind, but remember to stay present by asking yourself, What can I do right now to be healthier? Maybe you just need to relax, and breath deeply, meditate or connect with nature. If you ask your body, what it needs, it will tell you. Do things that feel good, that put your mind and body at ease. You can not start anything from a stressed out, feeling bad for yourself place and expect success. You must be willing to take it one step at a time.

A simple thing I do before I eat is be thankful for the food I am putting into my body. This infuses my food with positive energy, and makes me feel good about the food I am putting into my body. I also only eat foods that feel good. Anytime, I eat food my body doesn't like, I am always sorry. If it doesn't make me feel good, I don't eat it. When you put good food into your body, your body will respond favorably.
